Surge is currently accepting applications for the position of Mineral Land Administrator. Reporting to the Supervisor, Mineral Land & Contracts, the successful candidate will be accountable for the day-to-day administration of an area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing maintenance of lease records and well records, in land system ensuring data integrity.
  • Coordinate, prepare and submit continuation applications. Track, update land system, and maintain digital filing (StackDX). Communicating with internal and external stakeholders regarding continuations.
  • Manage all lease driven obligations, review rental calendars, offset notices, defaults, termination notices, non-productivity notices.
  • Administer all Lessee and Lessor Assignments, Estates and Consents.
  • Drafting Assignments, Trust Agreements, Royalty Allocation and Production Allocation Agreements.
  • Creation, review and approval of AFE’s (Authorization for Expenditure), RTD’s (Request to Drill) and RTA’s (Request to Abandon).
  • Contribute to development of land processes and procedures.
  • Assist with review and updates of NOA’s (Notice of Assignment), Change of Operatorship and related contract documents.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Asset Teams and Accounting.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Mineral Land Administration experience in either Alberta or Saskatchewan; Manitoba is a plus.
  • Proficient with CS Explorer, Geoscout (or Accumap), Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of provincial regulations related to mineral lands and well operations.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines is essential.
  • Adaptable, eager to learn, and must have a positive attitude.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach.
